What is Love?Love isn’t a one night stand.

Love isn’t quick.

Love is growing steadily.

Love isn’t careless.

Love is careful.

Love isn’t without purpose.

Love is meaningful.

Love isn’t dead.

Love is alive.

Love isn’t hopeless.

Love is hopeful.

Love is love.
From FreedomYou hide behind me,
The better to stab me in the back.
You invoke my name,
While it's me that you attack.

You scream I'm being stolen
To distract from your guilt.
You lock me in this cage of laws
That you so shrewdly built.

You send me over seas
To get me away from home.
You hoist me like a flag
As you fall like Rome.

I will still try to help you,
That's who I am.
I will always be here
Next to Uncle Sam.
Clouds
Dancing clouds on a medieval sky
Singing stories about lovers and friends
Staring them before I die
Nothing is heard
Nothing but a gap in the sound's flow
I am alone now.
Alone with my thoughts
Dancing clouds watch me traveling
Whispering to me words to write down
Now all that is left is echo
The echo of my tears
but that song I listen now says that everybody hurts
So am I one of the all?
Or am I the all?
maybe I am a nothing flying into thin air
singing on net wires songs about loneliness
Writing before I die
about someone I love
I can't remember name, age or face
But I remember his heart
A heart full of loneliness, grie
The Road Ahead (Poem)
These tears from my eyes have never fallen in vain
They're a sign that in me, your kingdom still reigns
That you're still working in the depths of my heart
Embedding that fear that sets us apart

That fear that brings us to do the right thing
That fear that motivates us to glorify our King
That fear that prevents us from living in sin
That fear of God we lost, when we let rebellion move in

I'll be the first to admit, It's not easy to walk on a straight line
While sin constantly tries to exploit the weakness in our minds
Thinking we will never get caught committing crime after crime
With deaf ears we hear and we see with eyes that are blind
Stardusti have this love etched into my skin,
it wraps around my empty heart like a forgotten melody,
lines and verses of nothing but stardust,
seeping into my bones.
Be an Original, Like MeBe an Original, Like Me

Every day it’s the same…

“Be original, don’t let others tell you what to do,”
But how can I do that if you’re the one molding me?
“Stand tall and proud of who you are, be independent.”
But how can I be independent when you force dependence on me?

“Be proud of your heritage and culture, show it off.”
Unless I embarrass you, then you want me to bury it down but if
YOU ask “Hey can you be like them? Act like that, dance like that?”
I’ll say “Yes some stereotypes are true, but most are false.”

“Be feminine, be graceful lik
Let It GoIt’s becoming too much to bear
Too hard to listen
Too hard to share

It’s becoming too much to accept
Too soon for reflection
Too soon for effect

It’s becoming increasingly crystal and clear
She’s made her decision
She’s no longer here
Quietly, GentlyShy smiles and fluttering butterflies,
My heart would beat faster when I looked into your eyes.
Even then, as I held you warmly in my arms,
Every word you said put me under your charm.
Dozing off, I sent you a little smile.
And told you that it’s fine to fall asleep for a while.

When you awoke, the sun was setting for its own time to sleep.
So I pulled you close and breathed in so deep.
Quietly, in the dark, I slowly fell in love.
Gently in my arms, I called you my little dove.
AutumnEverything is dying,
And it’s beautiful.

All the colours,
Make the world less dull.

It’s a bizarre idea,
That death is beautiful.
But death is beautiful.
It just means there will be another cycle of life.

You can feel the death all around you,
With the cold,
The wind,
The trees that are becoming bare.

And its magnificent.
Endless SparksIs this what it means to be inspired,
to envision a world in romantic light?
I've always been a youth of my dreams,
discovering bliss in every story I write.

Is this what it means to be entranced,
to find magic in a single vintage page
as I roam all of these beautiful realms
inside an athenaeum of an ancient age?

Is this what it means to be breathless,
to be taken by the aura of sweet pear?
Here traces of succulents linger about
like figments of Eden everywhere.

I suppose this is what it truly means
to feel the power of deep inspiration.
And now I see, it's the smallest of things
that awaken my joyful sensations.
Nightmare, Nightmare!Nightmare, nightmare!
Lost and unaware.
Drowning in my despair.
Look me in the eyes;
tell me this is fair!
Shelter from these dark skies
is impossible to find.

Demands, demands!
If no one understands,
how can anyone care?
Tears fall as I stare
at my life,
a wasteland so bare.

Tragedy, tragedy!
someone hold me steady!
Help me escape this fate
before it's over;
before it's too late!

Blind, blind!
Sickness of the mind,
cruel and unkind.
no respite will I find...

Ringing, ringing!
Can't you hear the voices singing
of the death knell?
What Is My Life?What is my life?
A world of self-hate.
Hardship and strife;
the kiss of fate.

An inner hurricane,
an innocence slain.
A tear shed,
and a bead of blood red,
along with the pain.

The screams in my head
could wake the dead,
and my thoughts
are heavy like lead.

The outside is wrong
and the inside's a mess.
My heart is still beating,
but my eyes are lifeless.
MemoriaA battle they don’t see
The war of memory
The struggle to suppress
These seconds of duress

Along with these moments
Longing for lost enchantments
Wishing to forget
To get lost in the net

Then this tale could fade
Slip into a dark shade
Giving us another chance
Another try at our dance

If memory was merciful
We would simply forget
And if time was remorseful
Regret and hope could offset

We could get lost in the glory
We could live another story
Without painful memory
Connecting you to me
Fallen From On High
Embrace sweet calamity,
The darkness which engulfs you now.
Apollyon, of that intrepid verse,
Now awaits, drooling with a gaping mouth.
Of temptation, the liars tongue,
Striking up the deals that bring you only to ruin
Just below, Tartarus waits for you...
And the patient welcoming shall be of no surprise.
Embrace now, bitter calamity...
The retribution that has longed for thy touch.
The clustered storm, prolonged, procrastinated,
hovers over to knock you down.
The portal, that vortex, to plunge you down.
Have you to own, no peace...
only what is allowed to your filthy hands...
that bitter...sweet...calamity...
Phobiathe lights are extinct
the wall advances towards me
I'm sick, I am afraid

the crowd ignores my pain
I fall into a black hole
I scream my distress in indifference

help me, this is too hard
help me, give me your hand

"I love you with my heart, body, and soul!" she desperately shouted as he started to disappear into the crowd. Slowly he turned, starred straight at her, and whispered "I wish I could say the same."

Question poses
Eyes meet
Hearts greet

A delicate dance
Words entrance
Drawn in
Bonds begin

Some subtle shift
A gentle drift
Steps slow
Eyes glow

Feelings stir
Passions blur
Walls crumble
as fingers fumble

No single cause
No hidden clause
Hands clutch
Bodies touch

Pulses rush
faces blush
innocent dove
they ‘re in love

Paths converge
As souls merge
Through darkest day
They never part way

past death’s door
dancing evermore
in heaven above
God bless true love

This poem is the full and in my opinion better version of an earlier poem I wrote called one night. while I wrote it I pictured... well actually I would like to hear what you pictured when you read it. I create this poem for three different contests. Yes I had all three in mind when I finished the poem. I hope you don't mind but I like the way this fit in all three contests. The first contest is :iconsoul-poets:'s unexpected love contest ([link]). Then there is #InspireandCreate's romantic antics contest ([link]). Last but not least is :iconh3llzang3l:'s the meaning of love ([link]). This is an original piece that I wrote for your respective contests (so I did follow the rules). If you don't like that I have entered it in multiple groups o well I did.

I'm not a huge fan of poems that rhyme but this one is quite good! It's actually like a cute little love story. Simple but captures the basics of true love which I thought was adorable. Nice work :)

It's amazing!! I hope to find a love like this one day...

When I read it, I pictured people meeting by chance. Then, they kissed and it progressed to something more erotic. They ended up together forever <3
